The valley's story runs with the 20th-century tourism era — the flower valley of the 20th-century-era tourism life and the 19th-century-era grazing era of the Sikkim life, with the valley's modern role as the nature stop of the Sikkim circuit and the home of the rhododendrons and the hot springs and the 2000s-era camps; the valley's history of the 2011-era slide works and the meadow paths, gives Yumthang its flower character.
