Konark at sunrise is the perfect first act: the great chariot emerges from the dark, its wheels catching the first light one by one, the sea breeze moving through the carved horses. The temple is enormous and silent — you walk around its wheels, past the sculpted dancers and musicians, and feel the medieval workshop that built it humming just behind the stone. Puri afterwards is the opposite energy: the temple's roar, the bazaar's colour, the beach where the sea meets a festival atmosphere. The sunset on the golden sand, with the fisher boats coming in and the temple's flag flying above the town, closes the day perfectly. It is a weekend that spans a thousand years of devotion and the simple joy of a sea breeze, back to back.
