Naldehra lies in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh at about 2,000 m, 25 km from Shimla and 80 km from Chandigarh — the golf town of the region, its century-old course, the forest and the viewpoints set on the Mahasu ridge.

History & culture

The town's story runs with the 1903 golf era — the town of the 9-hole golf course of the British era (the oldest of the country) and the 1905 visit of the Viceroy Lord Curzon, with the town's modern role as the weekend stop of the Shimla circuit and the home of the Mahasu peak and the Tattapani hot springs; the town's history of the pine forest and the colonial sport life, gives Naldehra its golf-town character.
