Kasar Devi lies in the Almora district of Uttarakhand at about 2,200 m, 10 km from Almora and 400 km from Delhi — the ridge hamlet of the Kumaon, its Kasar Devi temple, the cafes and the stargazing decks set on the hill above the valley.
