Kakochang Falls plunge over a green cliff near Numaligarh in Golaghat district, 15 km from Kaziranga's edge — a two-tiered cascade over the tea-country slopes, its pools and mist set among the estates on the park's approach roads.
History & culture
The falls served the tea planters' picnics of the colonial era — a gentle excursion from the Kaziranga fringe where the gardens' engineers built paths and resting shelters; today they remain the classic side-step of the great park's visitors, with the old-name lore of the surrounding estate country.
