Jampui Hills lie in the North Tripura district of Tripura, 130 km from Agartala — the state's highest hill range, its orange orchards and the viewpoints set at about 900 m on the border with Mizoram.

History & culture

The hills' story runs with the Lushai and the Tripuri settlement of the region — the hills' villages of the tribal peoples, with the range's role in the state's colonial-era roads and the mission stations; the hills' modern fame for the oranges of the winter season and the annual Orange and Tourism Festival, with the Betling Ship viewpoint, gives Jampui its orange-hill character.
