Dassam Falls lies on the Kanchi river in the Purbi Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, 40 km from Ranchi on the NH-33 to Jamshedpur — a wide tiered cascade of the river's plunge over the rocky shelf, its picnic grounds set in the sal forest.
