History & culture
The cliff's carvings of the 15th-century Tripuri kings and the Hindu pantheon were made during the Manikya dynasty's age, the boat-borne shrines cut into the sheer riverside rock; the Gomati's water and the surrounding forest have kept the site's approach by boat through the centuries.
